Click here for a better view of this extraordinary map. What's your favourite metamorphosis? I like the idea of Missouri turning into Poland. And the Alabama-Iran and Wyoming-Uzbekistan pairings appeal.

Hum, where's Lietuva? A suburb of Russia? Shudder and harrumph.
A bit of shambolic research on my part suggests that Lithuania doesn't get a look in because it outdoes Alaska-Belarus in the moneymaking stakes, without quite giving North Dakota-Ecuador a run for their money. So your host nation falls between two (or four) stools. Perhaps they're better off out of it.
The UK's not on either, if that's any consolation. Of course, possibly, the UK was considered as a suburb of either Ireland, France or the Netherlands?? I suppose they couldn't fit all the countries of the world on. I was excited by the idea that the states were about the same size as the countries they describe. They don't seem to be, which makes the map disappointing, in my longwinded view.

And I certainly second your shudder!
Looking forward to yer visit ...
